We are located on Pine Avenue, one block west of Atlantic Avenue north of Gage Avenue. City of Bell is conveniently located off the 710 freeway, exit Florence Avenue West. Continue west on Florence to Atlantic Avenue. Turn right on Atlantic, Left on Gage Avenue, then a right on Pine Avenue. The Civic Center will be located on your right hand side.

The City of Bell offers a variety of programs for children, adults, and seniors. Please refer to our classes section for more information on seasonal classes and programs.
How can I get information on excursions?
The City of Bell offers many fun and adventurous excursions for the whole family. Please call the Bell Community Center or refer to our excursions section.
How can I get information on city facilities for parties?
Each park in the city has picnic pavilions that may be rented on the weekends for birthday parties. The banquet hall at the Community Center may also be rented for large celebrations. Please call the specific park preferred for pavilion rental. For banquet hall information please call the Bell Community Center.
How can I get assistance with home repairs?
The city can assist low and moderate income homeowners with housing improvements on the following:
- Roofing
- Kitchen or Bathroom repairs
- Improved heating System
- Energy saving improvements such as window replacement.
- Electrical and plumbing
- Painting/Stucco

How do I report sewer stoppages?
Please call the city hall during regular business hours to report sewer stoppages. Evening and weekends please call the Bell Police Department and someone will be dispatched immediately.
How do I request speed bumps on my street?
Requests for speed bumps may be considered by completing a request form at City Hall.
How do I dispose of large bulk items?
Bulk items are picked-up on Fridays. It is recommended that items get placed on the curb the night before for Friday morning pick-up.
How can I get a yard sale permit?
Bell residents may obtain a yard sale permit every 6 months. They are issued at the City Hall, Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., and Friday 8:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Residents must show proof of residency by providing a utility bill (Edison, Gas, Telephone, Water) together with a picture ID with current address. Address on utility bill and ID must be the same.
How do I request overnight parking permits?
Overnight parking permits are issued for emergency situations. One permit is issued per vehicle per residence twice a month. To request an overnight parking permit please call the city hall during regular business hours. Evenings and weekends please call (323) 588-6211, ext. 302
How do I pay for a parking citation?
Parking citations may be paid by mail using the envelope in which the parking citation was issued or in person at the city hall.
How do I contest a Parking Citation?
Parking citations must be contested within 21 days of issuance. You may mail or fax a letter contesting your parking citation or you may contest the citation in person at the city hall. For more information please call the city hall.
How do I obtain a Building Permit?
Any work that requires structural additions, alterations or repairs, plumbing, electrical and mechanical. For more information please contact the Building Department.
